SORROW
Sorrow is a short video that involves a Korean goblet/alcohol cup made for commemorative rites for ancestors. The purpose of this video was to create a narrative that conveys a sense of loneliness, depression and sorrow by engaging the goblet with water and smoke. Lit candles were used as main lighting because its red/orange colour help to deliver loneliness. Candle also added just enough brightness to see the cup while keeping the background dark. The smoke from the candle mimicked the actual commemorative rites and added a sense of sorrow. 2 audio clips -fireplace and river/stream- were added to create a mood that could enhance the loneliness from the sequence.
